Through weekly meetings this Spring, we will discuss the processes of building a startup, sources of funding, and what is currently happening in the various industries. Members will have the opportunity to work directly with early-stage startups on pro-bono consulting projects. With 30+ established connections with startups, venture capital firms, private equity funds, and incubators, we will have networking events and treks to meet professionals in the industry. Every three weeks, we will be bringing in a speaker from the entrepreneurship community.
Edge is the central organization for undergraduate entrepreneurship activity at UChicago. Our mission is to provide UChicago students with resources and a community to help them build skills, companies, and relationships.
We offer two tracks: Academy and Launchpad.
*Note* Academy has been put on hold temporarily while we plan more workshops and events.
Edge sends out a newsletter with both on-campus and off-campus opportunities including guest speakers, pitch competitions, and Launchpad information.
On October 25th, 2016, Edge arranged a Fireside Chat with serial entrepreneur Sam Yagan, co-founder of OkCupid and Sparknotes. The chat was moderated by Melissa Harris, Polsky Center Executive in Residence. Catch the full discussion here.See Video
